Best VPN For Omegle in 2017
Omegle is a fun way for people all over the world to connect at random, but can open you up to potential security threats. As you connect with people, your information can be exposed to a skilled hacker.
When hanging out on Omegle, use a VPN to protect your personal data. It will encrypt your information and block your IP address, protecting your anonymity.
Best VPN For Omegle, always use ExpressVPN.

WHY IS MY INFORMATION AT RISK?
Omegle is quickly sneaking up on Chat Roulette as a fun – and, let’s face it, less perverse – form of random online video chat.
Quickly and easily, you are connected with users at random from all over the world, like Stumble Upon for social butterflies. However, all of that open communication does have its drawbacks.
As you connect with other users, you’re opening yourself up to the potential for having your information stolen. In addition, lots of public networks block sites like Omegle with administrative controlled restrictions.
If you want to connect safely without ever having to worry about content blocks getting in your way, look into signing up for a VPN.
WHAT IS A VPN?
VPNs are Virtual Private Networks. This service is offered by many companies to a consumer base that is growing increasingly concerned about their online security – and with good reason.
VPN software provides you with your own secure connection through a server owned by the company you subscribe to.
Through this server, they encrypt all of your information, so even if it is intercepted, it’s completely safe.
They even block your IP address, so your geographic location is never revealed, and thereby never influences the type of content you can access.
3 BEST VPNS FOR OMEGLE
There are a ton of VPN providers out there, and there are a few things you’ll want to look for when selecting a plan. Here are a few of the most popular VPN companies, and how they compare.
#1 CHOICE: EXPRESSVPN – 9/10 (BEST FOR OMEGLE)
When it comes to connection speed and reliability, ExpressVPN is the best option for high bandwidth services that use video, like Omegle and Skype.
With unlimited bandwidth, your connection is always smooth and crystal clear, making video chat that much more fun.
They also have fantastic encryption, so you never have to worry about your security being compromised. With server locations all over the world, it’s likely you can connect with ExpressVPN.
Plus, with their IP blocking software, even if you’re in a country that blocks content, you can get around these restrictions with your VPN software.
That also means no more irritating ads that pluck your location out of your computer (am I the only that gets creeped out by that?).
Where ExpressVPN really shines is their customer service department. With 24/7 support staff always available via live chat or e-mail, you never have to worry about getting stuck.
They even offer a 30 day money back guarantee, so there’s no room for buyer’s remorse. If you love the service and get a friend to sign up, you both can get a month of free service!
ExpressVPN is also compatible with all of your devices, and can even be used on more than one at a time, so there’s never any need to purchase a plan for every gadget.
For the most secure, reliable, and fast connection for Omegle, get ExpressVPN.
#2: IPVANISH – 7/10 (USE IF YOU CAN’T ACCESS EXPRESS VPN)
A good option for communication on Omegle is IPVanish. Like ExpressVPN, they have unlimited bandwidth, making them a great contender for people who use everything from Pandora to Netflix.
Plus, they’re compatible with all of your favorite devices, and every major operating system, except for Linux.
They have customer support staff too, so if you need some help, they can back you up any time day or night, through live chat or e-mail. Although their response time is slower than ExpressVPN.
They also offer a 7-day money back guarantee, so you have a chance to see if you like their software. However, they don’t offer any kind of a referral program like ExpressVPN does.
They have a network of servers too, with locations in 146 cities around the globe, so you can connect from just about anywhere. Like ExpressVPN, IPVanish never logs their users’ data either.
And with their multiple VPN protocols and decent encryption, your information is safe no matter where you are.
So if you’re looking for a fast and secure connection and can’t access an ExpressVPN server, check out IPVanish.
#3: HIDEMYASS – 6/10 (USE AS A LAST RESORT)
Though they have unlimited bandwidth, not everyone has had the best luck with connecting to HideMyAss servers. Their connection works on Omegle, but you could experience connectivity problems.
They have a customer service team, with support staff available 24/7 through live chat, e-mail, and phone, though some users complain of lengthy wait times.
Like ExpressVPN, they even offer a 30-day money back guarantee. However, they don’t have any kind of a referral program, so no freebies with this company.
As the name implies, they do have an encryption service, so your information is safe. Plus, like with ExpressVPN, you can use their software on more than one device at a time.
They have a very large network of servers, making them a good option if you can’t connect to ExpressVPN, but their server connections cut in and out quite a bit.
HideMyAss is found here.
CONCLUSION: Best VPN For Omegle
Omegle is an awesome way to meet people all over the world from all walks of life, but presents potential hazards in the way of internet security.
In addition, many countries block sites like these with government instituted censorship laws.
By using a VPN, you can:
- protect your personal information
- conceal your geographic location
- access blocked content
For the safest and most secure web browsing experience, use ExpressVPN.
VPNs DO NOT work on Omegle. I’ve tried 4 different ones and none allow me to actually connect with someone. Yes, it does trick Omegle into thinking your IP address has changed and thus, the red ‘Banned’ textbar will not be displayed; however, once you click to start chatting with people you’ll constantly get an error saying there were connection issues.
Hello,
This might be an issue with your bandwidth or connection other than the VPN persay. Have you tried contacting customer service and are you experiencing connection issues elsewhere?
Best,
Lyndon
No, he’s right. It’s not just a bandwidth issue. I have Express VPN. I purposely got banned using the VPN service, just to test out this theory. It worked on all locations for me. Then I did things to get banned, and then just as the op said, I got the error message. I feel they can somehow ban your device, as I’ve tried it on another device and ISP at a friend’s location on another device and Express VPN worked just fine with no error message. My friend also used the same connection speed as mine but different ISP. As a control I tried to connect without the use of VPN and worked just fine. Of course I did not attempt to get banned on my actual IP. With my friend’s permission I also purposely got banned from Omegle at his location and device, and the same thing happened and he also got the error messages after. So, I’m thinking that once omegle figures out your device is using a VPN then it will have an idea of what vpn service you are using and will automatically time out your device and prevent it from connecting with anyone on the omegle network. I could be wrong, and there’s probably better ways to test it but it’s the best I could come up with in the way I approached it.
